2024 | fabric, thread, acrylic paint, wood and canvas | Twelve pieces, each 12” x 12”

These pieces were inspired by purple coneflower, sensitive fern, dogwood blossom, blue false indigo, black walnut, turkey tail fungus and wild blue phlox. Each work is machine quilted, hand embroidered and mounted to canvas. Four of the pieces cradle little cedar houses among their leaves or petals. This series was created for installation at Ascension St.Vincents Women & Infants Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
