Collected Works of Unsustainable Focus | Dec. 20, 2018

This piece was completed in August. I spent many hours with it up to that point, much of them outdoors in my favorite places. I posted some photos on Instagram as I worked on it, but never any finished photos, so here they are. The individual blocks each started as their own story that I planned to grow into something, but my attention darts around a bit and they reflect that. I was committed to 12’ squares at the time and so in the end, though most unrelated, they all fit together. Now they are my own story of unsustainable focus. I’m just so glad I connected them and finished this piece. There are little bits of a lot stitched into this one. Just reflecting on that as we slip into a whole new year.
